Zum Appoints Matthew Klein as VP of Software Sales
Matthew Klein will oversee Zum’s software-only business as the company expands its AI-powered student mobility platform to more than 6,500 schools.
On Friday, August 21, 2026, Zum appointed Matthew Klein as Vice President of Software Sales to lead the company's software-only business as its AI-powered Zum CMX solution expands nationwide.
Zum CMX provides a unified, AI-powered platform for student mobility, connecting routing and operations for more than 6,500 schools across 19 states.
Before joining Zum, Klein spent eight years leading Coursera's government business, scaling it to help governments reskill citizens and public workforces.
Ritu Narayan, Founder and CEO of Zum, said the company is excited to have Klein join the team to build on their singular focus on student mobility.
As more districts modernize their in-house operations, the company intends to scale its technology to districts across the country, providing safer and more reliable student mobility experiences.
