Žukas sees strategic benefits in establishing a training ground in southern Lithuania: it would be convenient for everyone

As the central government looks to southern Lithuania as a possible location for a new training ground, former army chief Jonas Vytautas Žukas emphasizes the strategic importance of the area, as the Suwalki Corridor is nearby. According to him, if joint exercises with a German brigade are to be conducted, and in the future, perhaps with a Polish division, the southern part of the country would be a convenient option.
