Shares of Zee Entertainment Enterprises climbed nearly 11% on May 27 after the company confirmed it is in discussions with FIFA for the broadcast and streaming rights of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in India. The stock opened at around Rs 83.70 and touched an intraday high of Rs 92.99 before trading above Rs 91 during the afternoon session. Trading activity was also significantly higher than usual.
