Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, said that the massive attack by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation on the night of July 2 proves once again that hopes for a quick end to the war are in vain.
On the night of Wednesday into Thursday, Russia launched a massive attack on the Ukrainian capital. Kyiv authorities reported direct hits on residential buildings. "War criminal Vladimir Putin is waging a vile war against civilians because he is unable to achieve any results at the front," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said after the overnight attack, calling on the West to make immediate decisions regarding air defense.
