- On Saturday, Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar launched Prajaseva Abhiyana, a citizen-connect campaign, from Kudligi hobli in Vijayanagar district to bring government services directly to citizens.
- This campaign follows the establishment of the Prajaseva Department, which created an Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System using multi-faceted, data-driven software to prevent citizens from running from pillar to post.
- According to officials, meetings will be organized on Saturdays at taluk and hobli levels, with citizens informed at least 15 days in advance through door-to-door pamphlets and AI-based outbound calls.
- Meetings at taluk headquarters occur on the first and third Saturdays under the district in-charge minister's chairmanship. The second and fourth Saturdays feature sessions at taluk or hobli level chaired by the local MLA.
- Citizens can register grievances via helpline 1902 or the online portal ipgrs.karnataka.gov.in. Officials described the initiative as "an integrated system aimed at hearing citizens" grievances directly and providing solutions within a stipulated timeframe.
