Yorkton woman accused of second-degree murder, has charge stayed

YORKTON – A new development in the case of a 62-year-old woman, arrested in connection with a death in Yorkton. In November of 2023, RCMP were called to a home on Sixth Avenue North to conduct a welfare check, and upon arrival, they found the body of William Byblow. Donna Spilchen was later charged with second-degree murder. However, in Yorkton Provincial Court yesterday (Tue), the charge against her was stayed by the Crown prosecutor.
