- On Sunday, the Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission announced that the All Progressives Congress won all 17 chairmanship seats in Saturday's local government elections, plus 176 of 178 councillorship seats.
- A total of 10 political parties participated in the democratic exercise, fielding candidates for chairmanship positions across 17 local government areas and councillorship seats across 178 wards.
- YOSIEC chairman Ibrahim Yabani declared the results after voting, counting, collation, and verification concluded at local government centers and ward levels across the state.
- In a rare break from APC dominance, the Action Peoples Party and Action Democratic Party secured councillorship seats in Fune and Karasuwa LGAs, respectively.
- Certificates of return will be distributed before winners' swearing-in ceremonies. Inter Party Advisory Committee chairman Umar Jajere praised the election's conduct and the enabling environment for all parties.
