On Saturday, the Yellow Medicine East Varsity Softball team took a victory against BOLD at the Schwans Regional Amateur Sports Complex in Marshall, earning the team a spot in the Section 3A semifinals. The team was scheduled to play again on Tuesday against Wabasso for a spot in the 3A championship. Because of print times, scoring from that game was not yet available for this print edition.
