Pennsylvania lawmakers have advanced a bill to ban PFAS, or forever chemicals, from firefighting foam across the state. The House unanimously approved the measure, which would ban manufacturing and sales of PFAS-containing foams starting July 1, 2026, and their use beginning January 1, 2027.
