Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday called on BRICS member states to oppose sovereignty violations and reject protectionism, speaking at a summit in New Delhi, Beijing state media reported. Xi told the 11-member grouping that BRICS must “oppose violations of other countries’ sovereignty and interference in their internal affairs, (and) constructively participate in resolving critical issues,” according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said today, at the BRICS summit, that Member States must oppose "violations" of sovereignty and work to preserve peace, he informed the official Xinhua news agency.
