Wyoming Adds Chainlink Proof of Reserve to FRNT Stablecoin
The commission said the integration will give FRNT near-real-time reserve data and could block new minting unless backing meets supply.
- On Wednesday, The Wyoming Stable Token Commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve to publish verified data on FRNT's reserves and token supply onchain.
- Two weeks ago, Wyoming migrated FRNT from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, making CCIP the token's exclusive cross-chain infrastructure.
- Combining independent examinations by The Network Firm with Chainlink's infrastructure, the system provides near-real-time visibility. The commission is working to adopt Secure Mint, ensuring verified reserves meet FRNT's total supply before new tokens are issued.
- Launched in January, FRNT is backed by dollars and short-term Treasurys, with interest income supporting Wyoming's School Foundation Program. The GENIUS Act requires monthly reserve disclosures.
- Chainlink's infrastructure is increasingly utilized across traditional finance, including integrations with the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, Fidelity International, and Project Pangea. The network recently became the pricing-data provider for Coinbase's B20 tokenized equities on Base.
