WSL: Man United beat Liverpool for back-to-back wins
- Manchester United defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the WSL on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with Julia Zigiotti Olme scoring the decisive goal in the sixth minute.
- Manager Eva Olid marked a milestone as United played their 250th match since reforming in 2018, with the Spaniard overseeing four consecutive victories across all competitions.
- Zigiotti Olme capitalized on a defensive error from England goalkeeper Khiara Keating, intercepting a pass before chipping home, while Liverpool manager Gareth Taylor's side exerted late pressure but failed to equalize.
- United secured back-to-back league wins with this result, moving to seven points in the WSL standings after holding off Liverpool's challenge.
- The victory reflects United's improved form under Olid following a difficult start to the season, as the team looks to maintain momentum through the ongoing WSL campaign.
