A shipwreck thought to be the Teruzuki, an Imperial Japanese Navy destroyer, was recently found on the seabed off Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, according to a U.S. marine survey team.
IN IMAGES - An international team of scientists has located and explored for the first time the wreck of the Japanese destroyer Teruzuki, sunk in 1942 off Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. The ship lies more than 800 metres deep in the Iron Bottom Sound, the scene of fierce naval fighting during the Second World War.
