WPI Inflation Marginally Eases as Fuel Costs Drop

- Ranjeet Mehta, CEO and Secretary General of PHDCCI, noted the immediate outlook remains "one of elevated but potentially moderating wholesale inflation," citing risks from the West Asia war and Strait of Hormuz blockade.
- Data released earlier this week showed India's retail inflation rose to 4.45% in July from 4.38% in June, while The Reserve Bank earlier this month kept benchmark policy rates unchanged at 5.25%.
