Domino's New Garlic and Herb Ice Cream Flavour Sparks Debate
Domino’s hand-stirs its garlic-and-herb dip into Devon dairy, and beachgoers split over the sweet-and-savoury treat.
Domino launched a garlic-and-herb ice cream on the Brighton seafront, blending the pizza brand's famous dip with dairy sourced from Devon.
This invention follows other creative Domino products, including a garlic-and-herb flavoured chocolate egg and a Pepperoni Passion inspired perfume released ahead of Valentines Day last year.
Sunseeker Chiandra Mistry sampled the treat but was not a fan, saying, "Oh no, its got garlic taste in it." Fans on social media expressed mixed opinions, with some commenting "Gorgeous."
One creator commented she "thought this might be an April Fools prank, but its not April," while another admitted, "I'm really not sure about this." Domino maintains the dip is an icon customers enjoy creatively.
The trial coincides with record-breaking temperatures on 26 June reaching 37.7°C, surpassing the previous June record of 35.6°C set in 1957 and 1976, with the Met Office predicting another heatwave in late August.
