World leaders take stock of global fight against racism

World leaders met in the General Assembly Monday to assess how far the world has come in combating racism and how far it still has to go. The Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, the most comprehensive framework of its kind, seeks to acknowledge historical injustices, dismantle inequalities and build societies grounded in dignity, equality and justice for all.
