The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, intervened virtually at the World Food Forum, where he highlighted FAO cooperation with the island, which currently implements 13 projects in 59 municipalities. He underlined Fidel Castro’s legacy in the global fight against hunger and denounced the impact of the economic blockade on national food security. He reaffirmed Cuba’s commitment to sustainable agro-food systems and South-South cooperation.
