- Similar drives occurred elsewhere, including Karur Vysya Bank's plantation at Madras University campus on June 5, Apollo Cancer Centres' sapling plantation at Elcot IT Park, and Tenon Group’s tree planting in Gurugram.
- Over 10,000 native saplings were planted at Madras University, more than 500 at Elcot IT Park, and CPCL pledged to plant 100,000 saplings in 2025-26, highlighting broad commitments to sustainability.
- These coordinated efforts reflect ongoing institutional dedication to enhancing green cover, preserving biodiversity, and fostering long-term environmental responsibility across educational, corporate, and industrial sectors.

Brazil enacts measures marking World Environment Day
The Brazilian government announced Thursday a set of environmental measures, including the sanctioning of Bill 3.469/2024, which provides financial collaboration between the Federal Government and states to prevent and combat wildfires.
