NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY, JUL 21 – Hosting eight matches at MetLife Stadium is expected to attract over 1.2 million visitors and create more than 26,000 jobs, boosting regional spending and tax revenues.
- At the New York Stock Exchange, the Host Committee rang the Opening Bell, announcing a $3.3 billion economic boost.
- Set to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, the tournament includes eight matches at MetLife Stadium and is expected to draw more than 1.2 million visitors.
- The committee’s estimates detail $1.3 billion in labor income and $1.7 billion in projected spending, alongside $431.9 million in tax revenues.
- Local organizers, Tammy Murphy, NYNJ Host Committee chair, said "work is already well underway and our momentum is real," and noted that Liberty State Park will host the official FIFA Fan Festival.
- On Wednesday, September 10, the ticket draw opens, and FIFA will release tickets in phases.
