- Johannes Mosmang will succeed Lopo as president of the club based in Amadora, 10 kilometers northwest of Lisbon, having spent the past decade at Bayern Munich in player-management.
- Muller, now with Vancouver Whitecaps, played alongside Hummels, Hernandez, and Sommer during his tenure at Bayern Munich. Muller and Hummels won the 2014 World Cup with Germany, while Hernandez helped France lift the trophy in 2018.
- Estrela's recent ascent follows insolvency in 2011 and a 2020 merger with Sintra, returning to the Primeira Liga in 2023 and finishing 15th last season to narrowly avoid relegation against Casa Pia.
