  • Popular Stucco Wiring Ltd. faced $2,500 in fines for fall risks in Langley Township, while Bassi & Sons Construction Ltd. was fined $2,500 in Abbotsford for lacking guardrails to prevent "falling into the excavated basement level."
  • Additional penalties included Langley Roofing Co. Ltd., fined $19,232.06 for ignoring stop-work orders in Chilliwack, and Ace Excavation, fined $33,927.59 for dangerous traffic control practices in Langley.
  • Over July, WorkSafeBC issued over $33,150 in fines to three Vancouver Island contractors, including one case involving a worker seriously injured after being struck by an excavator in Ucluelet.
