The Ministry of Labour has reached an agreement with CCOO and UGT, without the participation of CEOE and Cepyme, to increase the minimum interprofessional wage (SMI) by 3.1% in 2026, to 1,221 euros per month for fourteen payments, with retroactive effects since January 1, as announced by the Secretary of State for Labour, Joaquín Pérez Rey.

The Ministry of Labour has reached an agreement with CCOO and UGT, without CEOE and Cepyme, to raise the minimum inteprofessional wage (SMI) by 3.1% in 2026, to 1,221 euros per month for fourteen payments, with retroactive effects since January 1, has announced the Secretary of State for Labour, Joaquín Pérez Rey, after the last meeting of the table.

The employer falls from the agreement for the sixth consecutive year after rejecting the deduction in the company tax, which allowed to compensate the total cost of the increase in exchange for the creation of jobs.
