Womens T20 World Cup 2026: Bangladesh Piles More Misery on Pakistan, Wins by 23 Runs
Shorna Akter’s unbeaten 39 lifted Bangladesh to 123 for six, and three wickets each from Shorna and Sanjida Akter sealed the win.
On Saturday, Bangladesh Women defeated Pakistan by 23 runs in the 15th match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 at the Hampshire Bowl in Southampton.
After falling to 13-3, Bangladesh recovered through Captain Nigar Sultana's 36 off 38 balls and Shorna Akter's unbeaten 39 off 22 balls to post 123-6.
Pakistan's chase of 124 stalled after an opening 49-run partnership when slow left-armer Sanjida Akter Meghla took two wickets to reduce the team to 70-4.
Restricted to 100-8, Pakistan extended its winless streak in the tournament while Bangladesh's disciplined bowling, including two wickets from Nahida Akter, secured the result.
Pakistan will face Australia on June 23 at the Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds, seeking to end their winless streak in the tournament.
