- Leading the opening round, Eri Okayama and Rio Takeda shot 5-under 67 at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club on Thursday, with Okayama birdieing the 18th to join Takeda.
- The AIG Women's Open, contested from July 31 to August 3, at Royal Porthcawl in Mid Glamorgan, Wales, features defending champion Lydia Ko.
