- Colleen Heise Franzen of Waverly is creating a book about the West Fork Stitch and Chatter Club.
- Franzen was inspired after finding memorabilia of the club from her deceased parents' belongings.
- The club, comprised of local farmers' wives, started in 1941 and disbanded around 2015 or 2016.
- The club meetings followed a set order and included songs, pledges, reports, auctions, and sending cards.
- Franzen hopes to preserve the club's history and invites people to share memories at 290thST@gmail.com.
