A Saskatchewan NDP MLA says she is appalled that her 89-year-old mother spent four days in a hospital hallway at Royal University Hospital after suffering a stroke.

Opposition MLA Joan Pratchler says after arriving at Royal University Hospital's emergency department early Sunday, her mother, who has Alzheimer's disease and dementia and had a stroke, spent days in hallways before getting a room early Thursday.
