Woman hurt after hitting deer near Akeley

A Monticello driver was injured on June 22 when she struck a deer in Akeley Township. According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP), a 2017 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by Jennifer M. Banister, 50, was traveling north on State Hwy. 64 when a deer came out of the east ditch and was hit head-on by the pickup.
