Winter Weather Advisory Affecting Northern Michigan Wednesday – Winds Gusting up to 35 Mph

Mixed precipitation expected with up to 4 inches of snow and ice accumulations up to 0.25 inches, causing slick roads and gusty winds up to 35 mph, warns the National Weather Service.

On Tuesday at 3:25 a.m. EST a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Wednesday between 1 a.m. EST and 7 p.m. EST for Kalkaska, Roscommon, Ogemaw and Iosco counties.The weather service adds, “Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations between one tenth and one quarter of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.”
