As at the 2024 Games in Paris, Russia and Belarus will be deprived of Olympic competition in Milan-Cortina, Italy, due to the war in Ukraine. Twenty athletes from these countries and selected on the track will, however, be able to participate, the International Olympic Committee decided, under strict conditions and with little chance of shine.
Four years ago, the Russian delegation had more than 200 athletes at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, which closed four days before Russia launched an operation to invade Ukraine.
