Organizers of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics next February are facing snowmaking problems at the Olympic snowboarding and freestyle skiing venues in Livigno, the French news agency AFP reported. The problems are technical problems with the water supply needed to make snow.
The Olympic Winter Olympics Committee of the Million-Courtina 2026 recognized, on Wednesday, a "technical problem" with the production of artificial snow in Livigno's facilities, where the snowboard and free-style ski tests will be performed. To cover the Snow Park of Livigno with snow and create the modules, ramps and half-pipes necessary for the two Olympic modes, organizers need to produce large quantities of artificial snow.
