Winona County investigator John Schneider's murderer dies in prison 44 years after crime

WINONA, Minn. — The man who killed Winona County Sheriff's Office investigator John Schneider nearly 45 years ago died in prison March 29. At the time of his death, 78-year-old John Kirch was an inmate at the Oak Park Heights Minnesota Correctional Facility.
