A new wine bar is set to open in University City this fall. Ashley Hunt, a musician and former “American Idol” contestant, recently leased a 3,500-square-foot space in the McCullough Commons business center, near the intersection of E. W.T. Harris Boulevard and N. Tryon Street. Hunt will call her wine bar Songbirds, a play on her childhood nickname.
