Willem Holleeder (67) continues to oppose his detention under the strictest regime. The criminal, sentenced to life imprisonment, has again filed an appeal request to be transferred from the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught to a prison with fewer restrictions. According to De Telegraaf crime reporter John van den Heuvel (63), the Council for Criminal Justice and Juvenile Affairs (RSJ) will issue a ruling within a few weeks.
