Dozens of turtles have been rescued from a drying waterhole in the Gwydir wetlands, near Moree, after flow was allegedly cut off due to complaints from a nearby landholder. A team of conservation scientists from the University of New England, calling on the state government to reinstate the wetlands back to their regular state.
