Wildland fire closes Highway 133 outside of Carbondale

Highway 133 at mile marker 63, near SunFire Ranch and a little less than a mile south of the Carbondale/Crystal River KOA, is closed in both directions due to a wildland fire. The expected length of this event is currently unknown, according to a Pitkin Alert issued at 3:07 p.m. The Aspen Times and Glenwood Springs Post Independent will continue to provide updates as they become available.
