Wildfire hazard season now in effect

Kentucky bans daytime outdoor burning during spring wildfire season as 99% of wildfires are human-caused and officials respond to over 1,000 fires annually.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (KT) – Gov. Andy Beshear is encouraging all Kentuckians to take additional fire safety precautions, as the state’s Spring Wildfire Hazard Season is in effect now through April 30.
