Forest fires trigger air pollution in Spain with worrying levels of particles and ozone. During the most critical summer seasons, high temperatures, drought and wind favor the rapid spread of fires in various regions of the country, generating an environmental crisis that results in serious consequences for air quality.
A satellite image taken around 5:50 p.m. on Friday shows that smoke from wildfires in Spain and France has reached the Baltic States across the Baltic Sea, the Environment Agency announced.
