After nearly 10 years of service on the Greenville Public Schools Board of Education, President Kire Wierda resigned from her position Tuesday morning, effective immediately. While Wierda’s current term on the board was set to expire Dec. 31, she stated in her resignation letter that she chose to resign early, partly to focus on family.
