'Wicked' Star Cynthia Erivo to Kick Off Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Cynthia Erivo will open Macy's 99th Thanksgiving Day Parade with a show-stopping act alongside 32 balloons, 27 floats, and 11 marching bands, organizers said.

- Erivo, starring as Elphaba in 'Wicked: For Good,' arrived days before the film's premiere and has a new book out on Nov. 18.
- The show will also feature the Radio City Rockettes and 11 marching bands, organizers said.
- An encore telecast will air at 2 p.m., and viewers can stream the parade on Peacock while Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker return as hosts.
- Organizers say they're preparing for 2026's centennial by returning past balloons and debuting a 'balloonicle', mid-sized Derpy Tiger and Sussie balloons, plus four new character balloons including Buzz Lightyear.
