A badger's burrow was behind the discovery of a huge cave in the Javoříčský kras in the Olomouc region, which this year won the Czech Speleological Society's award for the most significant discovery of the year in the Czech Republic. The crack leading to it was discovered by accident by 33-year-old speleologist David Stodola, who was alerted to it by the behavior of the wayward animal.
