Lethbridge police have charged a driver after a semi-truck collided with the underside of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge on Wednesday.

City of Lethbridge crews, contractors and engineers are continuing to inspect the bottom of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge after a semi-truck hauling a scraper hit it and became stuck Wednesday morning.

Drivers in Lethbridge had to suffer through a major traffic headache Wednesday morning on Whoop Up Drive.  At around 9:40 a.m. a truck carrying construction equipment struck the underside of the Whoop-Up Bridge forcing police to shut down the road in both directions.
