‘Jeopardy!’: Chris D’Angelo Goes for Win Number 5 — Did the Champ Qualify for TOC?
D'Angelo used three Daily Doubles and 29 correct responses to build an insurmountable lead before betting $4,800 in Final Jeopardy!
On Memorial Day, content manager Chris D'Angelo won his fourth consecutive 'Jeopardy!' game, defeating Jack Kelly, a Ph.D. student from Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Veronica Matthews, an after-school science instructor from Martinez, California.
D'Angelo's four-day total of $83,600 positioned him strongly for the holiday episode after facing Rebecca Joseph and Chenfei Lu on May 26, pursuing his fifth consecutive victory.
With three Daily Doubles and 29 correct responses, D'Angelo built a commanding lead of $25,200 by Final Jeopardy, far ahead of Kelly's $7,000 and Matthews' $4,000.
D'Angelo's fifth consecutive victory qualifies him for an upcoming Tournament of Champions, with Matthews finishing at $3,269 as D'Angelo wagered $4,800 to bring his game total to $30,000.
Episodes stream next day on Hulu and Peacock, with D'Angelo's sixth-game attempt scheduled for Wednesday as his consecutive-win streak positions him among the show's elite recent champions.
