WHO Declares Rare Diseases a Global Public Health Priority at the World Health Assembly
The 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva has adopted a resolution declaring rare diseases "a global public health priority", a measure promoted by the governments of Spain and Egypt, and which aims to promote "equity and universal access to essential health services" for more than 300 million people in the world living with these diseases.
