After a long discussion, NSC finally agreed to the asylum law. On Thursday, it was unclear for a long time which party would vote for and against the new law. Member of Parliament Diederik Boomsma explained in the House of Representatives why his party ultimately voted in favor.
A majority in the Lower House has approved two laws for a stricter asylum policy. The laws were created by former PVV minister Faber and are intended to introduce "the strictest asylum policy ever" in the Netherlands.
