- Leavitt told reporters that California gave this individual a license, and ICE lodged an immigration detainer on October 22 after he entered the U.S. in 2022.
- Dashcam footage showed the truck slamming into an SUV, appearing to strike another semi before stopping; the crash shut westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway for several hours and left at least four injured.
- Leavitt, White House spokesperson, accused California of issuing licenses to criminal illegal aliens, while the Department of Transportation is cracking down and ICE lodged an arrest detainer.
- Homeland Security officials warned this follows a broader trend of illegal aliens driving 18-wheelers and cited another fatal Indiana semi crash earlier this week.
