Whirlpool ending 2nd shift operations at Amana plant
Lang 6/5/26 The Whirlpool Corporation has announced it will be ending second-shift operations at its Amana plant next month. The move is expected to affect 288 employees. The move is the latest in what the company calls a “multi-year modernization plan”. The plant halted operations from May 18-22 to manage production. Whirlpool laid off 341 workers from the plant in March, and another 250 last year. It currently hosts an estimated 1,000 workers.…
