The Terrot brand was one of the oldest motorcycle manufacturers in France. Its history dates back to 1862, but it did not begin, as one might think, in France, but in neighboring Germany. Here, Charles Terrot and his partner Wilhelm Stücklen founded a machine factory in the city of Cannstatt. Only five years later was a branch established in Dijon.
