On a sunny warm day, Saturday, June 13, surfers left their wheelchairs for a surfboard and rode the waves. Wheels to Surf, with Luke Sharp and the non-profit Adaptive Surf Project, hosted a dozen individuals with physical disabilities for a day in the ocean as a part of the "Shepherd Center Day of Surfing" The Shepherd Center in Atlanta is a treatment center for traumatic spinal cord injury.
