Our German neighbours in Baden-Württemberg are called to the polls this Sunday, March 8, to appoint their representatives to the Landtag, the regional parliament. The outgoing minister-president, environmentalist Winfried Kretschmann, does not represent himself.

So now he has achieved what he really didn't want: The Greens have become Baden-Württemberg's long-serving head of government.
