CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia Parkways Authority is advising motorists to prepare for heavy traffic along the West Virginia Turnpike during Memorial Day weekend, from Friday, May 23, through Monday, May 26, 2025. Charleston, WV (WOAY)—The West Virginia Parkways Authority warns drivers to plan ahead for heavy traffic on the turnpike from today, Friday, May 23, to Monday, May 26.   The projected traffic transactions for Memorial Day weekend are expected to reach approximately 237,000 vehicles.   The highest traffic volumes are anticipated today and Monday, May 26.   There are expected backups at the Chelyan toll plaza for northbound traffic.   Just past th…
